Ladies Night 2009
Our President W.Bro. Peter Smith and his wife Margaret held their Ladies Festival Weekend at the
Hermitage Hotel, Exeter Road, Bournemouth, BH2 5AH
on the 1st and 2nd May 2009. The Weekend was a great success for the President, his wife, family and their
79 guests, our largest number attending a Ladies Night for quite some time. The
guests started arriving on the Friday evening for Dinner and a disco evening followed by the Ladies Night on Saturday which
comprised of the Presidents reception with photographer in attendance, and a 6 course Banquet Dinner with music during dinner by Karen Smith.
The evening was played and danced out out after the customary toasts and speeches with music by the trio, Stepping Out and the weekend
was completed by a full English breakfast on Sunday morning (for those who could get up!) before departure.
A total of £750 was raised for the President's Ladies Night Charities, which this year were the
MacMillan Nurses, who will receive £500, and the Lodge Relief Chest, which will receive £250.
